THE STORY
At 83 years old, a former New York City art teacher is transforming a barren Arizona ranch and its surrounding Mexican borderlands into an ecological haven. Using regenerative techniques, she is reviving the land’s natural ecosystem, creating an oasis where there was once desert. Her conservation efforts span the US-Mexico border, bringing hope and habitat back to a socially tense migratory corridor.
Maybe scientists will find we can live on Mars, but for the moment for me, water and fixing this earth is very important.
